Study: Fracking wastewater could be too much

Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, produces a relatively small amount of wastewater, given all the gas the technique recovers. Nevertheless, the wastewater being produced threatens to overwhelm Pennsylvania’s capacity to properly treat it, a new study says.
